Water Plantain Seeds alisma plantago-aquatica – grows only in very wet soil at the edges of streams, ponds, and lakes. Plants can be grown in sun or shade and are ideal for a garden pond edge or bog garden where they will attract a wide range of insect life such as bees, dragonflies and damselflies. Water Plantain typically grow to about 2 foot high or more and produces tiny white flowers from June to September. It looks best growing amongst other wetland plants with similar flowering times for example Common Fleabane, Purple loosestrife, Hemp agrimony, Gypsywort and Water Mint.
