Water Mint Seeds mentha aquatica – grows in many wet places such as stream, and pond sides, wet woods, marshes and fens. Plants can be grown in sun or shade and are ideal for a garden pond edge or bog garden where they will attract a wide range of insect life such as bees, butterflies, and damselflies. Water Mint is a low growing plant with pleasantly scented leaves and pink flowers from July to September. It looks best growing amongst other wetland plants with similar flowering times for example Common Fleabane, Marsh Bird’s foot trefoil, Purple loosestrife, Hemp agrimony, Gypsywort and Water Plantain.
