Ribbed Melilot  Seeds melilotus officinalus – grows well on fertile soils in full sun. Because of its quick-growing and competitive nature, it is a useful plant to include in field margins and conservation headlands. In gardens it would look pretty within a sunny wildflower border. Ribbed Melilot is a tall growing species with yellow flower spikes that appear from July to September. Ribbed Melilot looks best growing with other wildflowers that bloom in mid-summer such as Oxeye daisies, Greater Knapweed, Meadow Cranesbills and Small Scabious.
