Field Scabious Seeds knautia arvensis – makes the perfect general purpose meadow plant for the wildflower garden. It is sturdy and competes well amongst meadow grass, attracts bees, butterflies and moths, and is at home on a wide range of soil types from neutral clays to chalk and limestone grassland. Additionally it has a long flowering season from June through to October.The large pink pin cushion flowers appear in early summer and look best growing with oxeye daisies, Black Knapweed, Meadow Cranesbill and Birdsfoot trefoil.
