Bulbous Buttercup seeds ranunculus bulbosus – is very similar to Meadow Buttercup but can be used in grassland on slightly drier soils. It’s flowering time is also a little earlier so when planted together, both these species will give a longer buttercup flowering season. Bulbous Buttercups are very attractive to bees drawn by the rich pollen and bright colour. This is a low growing species with intense yellow flowers that appear from March to June and makes a great addition to a mini meadow or flowering lawn. Bulbous Buttercup looks best growing alongside other low growing meadow plants such as Lawn daisy, Self heal, Forget-me-nots, Birdsfoot trefoil, and Cowslips.
